Employees in Mexico Help Fight Childhood Cancer
Community / 2016/02/09
Employees from plants across Faurecia in México gathered recently at Jardín del Arte, a race in Puebla organized by the foundation AMANC (Mexican Association of Aid to Children with Cancer), to show their solidarity in fighting childhood cancer. The foundation works on behalf of children with cancer in the state, providing them assistance to have a better quality of life.
Faurecia was one of the main sponsors of this event, helping with both a direct donation to the foundation and by matching the registration cost of each employee or family enrolled in the race.
Although the race took place in Puebla, employees from other plants in Mexico took part in the event. Despite the intense cold, runners swept the streets around the Garden, encouraged by the support that these children will received. The money raised from the race will be use to provide treatments to more than 100 patients and will aid in the construction of the AMANC Center, which provides accommodation and food service delivery to patients and their families.
